The double roller press granulator is a key equipment for compound fertilizer granulation and is a representative of dry granulation machines. Compared with other granulators, it has the advantages that the produced granules do not need drying, can be produced at room temperature, and the products are formed by one-time pressing. The shape and size of the granules produced by the double roller press granulator are determined by the grooves on the roller. In the production of fertilizer granules, 2-4mm is usually the most commonly used.
Working Principle
The double-roller granulators employs an extrusion slip molding mechanism. lts working principle is as follows: the motor drives thebelt and pulleyv, transmiting power to the driving shalt through a reducer. the driving shatt synchronizes with the driven shatt via an open geamechanism,enabling counter-rotating operation. Material is fed through the hopper and undergoes extrusion molding by the rollers. The molded material is demolded into granules, which arethen conveyed via a chain to the crushing and screening chamber. Finished granules are separated, while undersized material is recycled and mixed with fesh material for regranulation. With the continuous rotation of the motor and the uninterrupted feeding of materials, batch production can be achieved.
